I’ll show you how I: ✏️ Find and use the center line ✏️ Divide the face into equal sections ✏️ Block in the important shapes and features ✏️ Check and correct the proportions ✏️ Establish the initial values with a 2B pencil ✏️ Build values using small blocks of shading ✏️ Blend with a paper stump ✏️ Gradually develop the final portrait The blocking stage is one of the most important parts of my process because getting the proportions right from the beginning can make the entire drawing much easier.
