Highlight CEV Beach Volleyball Semi-final: LAT vs ITA

Smedins / Samoilovs (LAT) vs Ingrosso / Ingrosso (ITA) Latvia and Italy tangoed last year in the CEV (Confédération Européenne de Volleyball) finals. It was an incredible match which you can see here:    • Видео   The story line in last year's event was certainly home court advantage. The Italian team had the crowd on its side and it made all the difference in the last few amazing rallies. This year the CEV championship was located in Jurmala, Latvia. A different location and a different Italian team, but the match was still as tightly contested just like last year's finals. I always enjoy watching brothers play together. The Italian Ingrosso brothers almost seem surprised when the game comes to a close. Like, I can't believe what just happened? In Latvia no less… Smedins and Somoilovs are one of the more exciting teams that play professional beach volleyball. For those that don't know who they are, Smedins was on of the members of the Latvian team that ousted Gibb and Rosenthal (USA) in the quarterfinals of the London olympics. I suspect they will go into next year's olympics as one of the favorites to win the gold.
