16 days South Island Adventure | No Hotels | Part 2 - Picton to Lake Tennyson

Our South Island adventure continues! We are now in Picton and heading to Lake Tennyson, where we plan to spend the night at a DOC campground. From Picton, we drove more than 200 km along Molesworth Road. It was a long drive, lots of gravel roads, and a very remote area, but the views were amazing! We had no idea what to expect along the way. We just kept driving and enjoying the scenery. 😄 We’re still doing this trip with the whole family — Dad, Mom and our two kids — camping along the way and staying mostly at DOC and freedom campgrounds.
