Let’s Grumble: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Part 23)

Father of Mine They say there comes a time in every young man's life when he finally realizes that his father is not invincible. Well, Alucard is one hell of a late bloomer because it's apparently taken him three centuries to finally discover that his old man is kind of a push over. Then again, this final battle in the game is kind of like bringing a battleship to a knife fight. It only took us 23 episodes but we finally came to the inevitable conclusion of the game. And I guess that may be why I don't particularly like the later Castlevania games. The old games only took a few hours to get through if you knew what you were doing, but damn it was an uphill battle the whole way. These later ones last forever and usually begin to feel like a cakewalk after the first few hours. At least we are now done with this game once and for all because there is absolutely no other way to play through the game...
