Join me for a 1-hour 50-minute relaxing virtual walk through one of the most picturesque places in Portugal — Costa Nova. There are no voiceovers, commentary, or tourist guides in this video. This is a documentary film through my eyes, giving you the complete feeling of walking here yourself, in solitude, yet surrounded by people, charming streets, and the vast ocean. Our walking tour begins at the bridge connecting the mainland to the Costa Nova peninsula. Located on a narrow strip of land just 200–300 meters wide, this unique location is embraced by two waters: a calm lagoon bay on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. We walk along the wide, scenic promenade with yachts and coastal homes, then turn into the famous streets lined with "Palheiros" — Portugal’s iconic traditional striped houses in red, blue, and green! Here, the town comes alive with cozy restaurants, cafes, and small shops. Tourists stroll with cameras, people enjoy morning jogs, and visitors sit at outdoor tables drinking coffee, having lunch, laughing, and soaking in the bright autumn morning. After passing through the town, we head toward the ocean. It’s a pleasant, warm October day in Portuguese autumn. Our walking tour continues along the long wooden boardwalk built over the sand dunes along the beach, then we step right onto the wide sandy shore, walking along the ocean foam and waves. Here on the beach, a peaceful, simple, and cozy life flows naturally. Children play in the sand, couples in love enjoy the ocean views, people take leisurely strolls, and families set up cozy picnics. This is human life as it should be — surrounded by beauty, tranquility, and the joy of simply being present in this world. A special feature of our walking tour is pausing for 5–10 minutes on the massive stone breakwaters stretching into the sea. Here, we freeze in time to simply watch and listen to the natural, deep breath of the Atlantic Ocean.
