Flight of Fear - Launch into Total Darkness - 4K POV | Kings Island

Launch into total darkness on the super spooky Flight of Fear. This was one of the first launch coasters to use magnetic motors (LIMs) for its launch system. These help to get the coaster from 0 to 54 miles per hour in 4 seconds, launching it straight into a black hole. Although the launch seems somewhat weak by today's standards, it was a huge step up from older launch coasters that used mechanical methods for their launches.
