The visit includes an assessment of the situation around Kalinga Ghati on the Ganjam-Kandhamal border and flood-affected areas of Koraput, followed by a review of Nabarangpur in the afternoon. The CM is also scheduled to review the flood situation at Kotpad and hold discussions with officials at Jeypore. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari and Special Relief Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil are accompanying him. Recent heavy rainfall associated with a deep depression has caused flooding and landslide-related disruption in parts of South Odisha.
