Rounds 23 & 24 of the 2026 British Hillclimb Championship held at Loton Park on Sunday 30 August. Includes practice, timed runs and first Top 12 run off, followed by timed runs and second run off. The weekend weather gods decided to throw a curve ball at the title contenders but they proved up to the challenge. Conditions were changeable throughout the day (thankfully better than the BBC's pessimistic forecast), making it tricky when it mattered most. Although damp, it was largely consistent for all the single seaters during their morning timed runs, so the first Top 12 run off had a familiar cast. Not so for the afternoon, with the Big 3 having quite the scare as they were pushed down the order by smaller bike engined cars that had qualified in drier conditions. The run off therefore had an unconventional look, with some familiar names having to watch from the sidelines. Although the track was soaked by now, the three V8 GR59 drivers still found sufficient traction and were able to make their horsepower advantage pay. So we now look forward to a nailbiter at Prescott where the 2026 British Hillclimb Champion will be crowned. Who is your money on ?
