Blood, Sticky Floors & Banned Reels 🩸

Why is it called “Grindhouse?” 🩸 We’re diving deep into the rule-breaking history of Grindhouse cinema. We’re tracking the journey from the continuous-screening "grind policies" of the 1920s to the lawless, boundary-pushing splatter films of the 1970s. We'll explore how independent theater owners used shock value to fight the rise of television, how legends like Herschell Gordon Lewis and Wes Craven completely shattered taboos, and how mainstream censorship boards accidentally turned low-budget exploitation flicks into legendary midnight movie classics. #horror #horrormovies #horrortok #horrorcommunity #horrormovie #movie #culthorror #bhorror #moviereview #horrorshorts
