CDCNSW R4 m/o 6039 | Route 601 (Volvo B7RLE Volgren CR228L - ZF EcoLife)

I thought it was time for me to pay homage to my channel's humble origins in the Hills District with some Region 4 videos, which I will be progressively releasing over the next few months. Today I take a short ride onboard CDCNSW Region 4 m/o 6039, a Volvo B7RLE Volgren CR228L vehicle dating from around 2011 and operating out of Rouse Hill Depot. The bus is on Route 601 from Rouse Hill to Parramatta, and I am onboard from Baulkham Hills to Northmead. The Volvo B7RLEs numbered m/o 6000 to 6051 are equipped with ZF EcoLife gearboxes as opposed to the Voith DIWA transmissions fitted on earlier and later deliveries. The dull EcoLife would return on the Volgren Optimus vehicles, so it seems these vehicles were a success. Understandably so - I reckon these were the last good vehicles that CDC ordered. Funny story: I was originally going to catch the 604 instead, to film onboard a Scania K94UB, but I misread the time and got there 45 minutes early...
