Gran Turismo 7 - Custom 20 Car Race At Special Stage Route X #41

I was almost completely certain that the last installment I posted last month would for sure be the last race for 2023, and yet here we are somehow. Well atleast now I know for sure that this one will. Last month I unexpectedly ended up starting a whole new race series on GT7 about 2 weeks after posting the last race. Featuring roughly 30 minute races where the entire race features torrential rain, the worst weather conditions GT7 has to offer. Every race has been exclusive to Group 3 race cars and every race has had the Balance of Performance (BoP) option turned on to keep the action very tightly packed together from start to finish. I’ve bought numerous cars to use for this series that I would’ve never thought I’d see myself buying otherwise, and why not? After all money isn't an issue for me anymore. The 2017 Porsche 911 RSR which I used in race 1, the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for race 3, the 2018 GR Toyota Supra Racing Concept for race 4, and most recently the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT3 which I used in race 9 at High Speed Ring which I’m uploading next. All cars that I’ve now convinced myself to love thanks to the awesome liveries I’ve found for them. But I’ve bought more than just Group 3 cars though. I bought the 2019 Audi RS5 Turbo DTM, a Group 2 car. And the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the last of the 7 cars added in last month’s huge update which I initially opted not to buy & use in last month's race. As well as the Mazda Atenza Group 3 road car which I gave the iconic blue/yellow Goodyear livery while reverting back to the old orange/black livery on the regular Atenza that I used in the past. Plus you get the added bonus of being able to swap the engine in this car with a 787B engine. And lastly I rebought the Peugeot RCZ Group 3 road car, a car that I sold in the past as I couldn’t bring myself to love it. But then I found this livery for it and everything changed. The right livery can really do wonders for certain cars. Lastly I bought the Subaru Impreza WRX Time Attack car, which is shockingly slow. It all leads up to me finally having enough cars for a full 20 car field to finally release episode 41 of our half-hour speed wars. My spending spree is over though, so there's not gonna be an episode 42 anytime soon. Especially considering it's not looking like there will be another update this month to add more cars or more engine swap combinations. Every other car in the race has had an engine swap since they were last used. Or in the case of the Dodge Super Bee, a livery update to make it look like the Plymouth Road Runner from NFS Carbon. Some of the engine swapped cars include several Porsche's and 4 more cars from last months update with the Bugatti Chiron engine swap. Including the Huracan I’m driving for this race. I took advantage of both time & weather progression here to start the race in the morning under the clouds and have it clear up as the day went on and eventually ended after sundown.
