Sailing Paul and Madi - Van Build Volume Two

Hey friends! Welcome back to a long overdue Van build volume 2 UPDATE! We’ve done so much work since our last van video Okay - let’s jump into it! First, we bought more wood to build the cabinets. We’ve done similar wood projects But never cabinets - so it was a new skill to learn! AI was able to supply a cut list for us so we could make the most of the plywood we bought It wasn’t 100% accurate because it came up with an imaginary section that didn’t exist - but it got us close enough. So we got to work and cut and cut and cut. To build the boxes for the cabinets, we learned about Craig jigs online. I loved this part. It was so satisfying being able to screw sideways into the wood for a clean finish. It also made everything way easier when we put the boxes together. After the cabinets were built, we got to painting. These inspiration videos were a great mock up so we could see what we were getting into. Plus it was fun to create on the iPad. We couldn’t have painted all the cabinet pieces without our Dads - the ultimate Dad Paint Crew! Huge thanks to both of them for how efficient they were- we got through everything, two coats - in ONE DAY! It was also nice to have them contribute to the van project - especially painting, something that would have taken us so much longer to get done. And that concludes the volume 2 update!
