Extra deep brown noise with a 40 Hz gamma binaural tone underneath. 3 hours.
Headphones are required. The 40 Hz is the difference between two tones — 200 Hz in the left ear and 240 Hz in the right — so it only exists when each ear hears its own channel. On speakers you will hear the brown noise, but not the gamma.
WHAT THE RESEARCH ACTUALLY SAYS, including the part the niche leaves out:
A meta-analysis found that brown noise helps focus in people with ADHD — and slightly impairs it in people without. If this does nothing for you, or makes concentrating harder, that is an expected result, not a defect. Try it and keep what works.
On 40 Hz gamma: the strongest evidence comes from work at MIT (Tsai Lab, "GENUS") using light and sound that PULSE at 40 Hz, which is a different mechanism from the binaural beat used here. Binaural gamma is far less established. Studies on alpha, beta and gamma entrainment show effects on memory and attention, but the size of those effects is modest and the research is ongoing.
This is background audio for work and study. It is not a treatment, it does not diagnose anything, and it is not medical advice.
TECHNICAL
· Brown noise: -6 dB/octave, generated by synthesis (no samples, no loops of a recording)
· Binaural carriers: 200.000 Hz left / 240.000 Hz right — verified by FFT in the finished file
· 48 kHz, AAC 192 kbps, stereo preserved (channels are never summed)
· 3 hours
