Alivia Dawson Postgame: 3 Touchdowns, Back-to-Back State Titles for Penn

Three touchdowns. Two state titles. One senior who keeps finding the biggest moment. Penn senior Alivia Dawson caught three touchdown passes from Quinn Driscoll in the first half as the Kingsmen beat Lawrence North 34-28 at Grand Park, finishing 18-0 and becoming Indiana’s first back-to-back girls flag football state champion. One year earlier, Dawson changed the championship game on defense with four interceptions. This time she did it on offense, including a catch over multiple defenders on the final play of the first half. Indiana Preps caught up with Dawson right after the final whistle to talk about the win, the connection with Driscoll, and what it means to go back-to-back.
