The 175-kilometer Rironi-Mau Summit Road project is currently underway with completion aimed for June 2027. The project is designed as a dual carriageway—four lanes from Rironi to Naivasha and six lanes from Naivasha to Nakuru—with a total project cost estimated around KSh 184B. This upgrade will ease traffic to Western Kenya. The Project involves upgrading the existing single-lane road into a modern dual carriageway, with four lanes between Rironi and Naivasha and six lanes from Naivasha to Nakuru to accommodate higher traffic volumes. Construction, carried out by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) under a public-private partnership, began in late 2025 and is scheduled for completion by June 2027. The project aims to significantly reduce transit times, ease congestion on the Nairobi–Nakuru highway, and improve the efficiency of transporting goods to neighboring countries including Uganda, Rwanda, and the DRC. #expresswayupdates #RoadConstruction #MegaProjects #Nairobi #Kenya #KenyaDevelopment #Infrastructure #Rironi #MauSummit #RironiMauSummitExpressway
