Ghatak UCAV का ghatak avtaar - This capability will change the game
India's Ghatak UCAV Could Get A Game-Changing Air-to-Air Refuelling Capability!
India's ambitious Ghatak Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) could be getting a major technological upgrade. According to a recent report, DRDO is planning to integrate an advanced retractable In-Flight Refuelling (IFR) probe into the upcoming 13-tonne Ghatak stealth combat drone.
With an estimated internal fuel capacity of 3.7 tonnes, a proposed dry Kaveri engine generating 48.5 kN of thrust, and a reported combat radius exceeding 1,000 km, Ghatak could become a significant asset for India's future air combat capabilities.
But that's not all! Air-to-Air Refuelling could dramatically increase its endurance, allowing it to perform extended Combat Air Patrol (CAP), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and other strategic missions.
Could India's Ghatak UCAV become one of the most advanced stealth combat drones in the world? What does this development mean for the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy?
Watch the complete video to understand India's ambitious next-generation unmanned combat aircraft programme!
