L-PRES Trained livestock farmers in Ondo Promotes Modern Technologies for Livestock Value Chain.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the livestock sector, the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project in Ondo State has organized a comprehensive training program for livestock farmers. The training focused on the adoption of modern technologies to improve production, processing, and packaging across the livestock value chain. Participants were introduced to innovative practices and tools designed to boost productivity, ensure quality standards, and enhance market access for livestock products. The training also emphasized the importance of value addition through proper handling, storage, and branding to increase profitability. In addition to technical skills, the program incorporated sessions on conflict resolution, with a special focus on promoting peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders. Through community dialogue and inclusive engagement, L-PRES aims to reduce tensions and foster a more stable and productive agricultural environment in Ondo State. The initiative is expected to empower livestock farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to increase income, improve food security, and contribute to sustainable rural development.
