Taiwan Spring Day 2 - Maokong Gondola| Chiang Kai Shek| Ximending

Come along with us as we explore Taipei from the skies to the streets 🌧️🚡 Our day starts with a scenic ride on the Maokong Gondola, where we make our way up to Maokong Station. With a light drizzle setting the mood, we take a cozy food break and try some local favorites—Taiwan sausage, squid balls, and a comforting bowl of squid ball soup. After a short walk around the area, we continue our journey and head toward Zhinan Temple Station, enjoying the peaceful mountain views along the way. On our ride, we’re lucky to spot some early cherry blossoms and even stop for a quick closer look. Back in the city, we visit Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and explore the “Flowers of Freedom” exhibition, showcasing different countries and their paths to independence. We also wander through a lively pop-up bazaar—and unexpectedly find more cherry blossoms nearby. To wrap up the day, we experience the vibrant Lantern Festival at night and head over to Ximending to try some street food and soak in the energy of the area.
