Born and raised in Southern California, she has walked a unique musical path shaped by diverse influences. Starting with classical piano in her childhood, she later explored jazz and a wide range of genres during her teenage years, which helped her develop her distinct sound. Her music is inspired by a broad array of artists and genres, including The Cardigans, Janet Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Blossom Dearie, soul, and pop music. As a self-produced artist, Vicky’s sound is characterized by delicate, dreamlike synth-pop elements that reflect her refined sensibilities. Her albums Sweet Company (2022) and her latest release Give A Damn (2024) were both released under Mac’s Record Label, founded by Mac DeMarco. It is a sister restaurant to Bistro Rojiura, which has been listed in the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand for six consecutive years, and PATH, which has been selected as a Michelin Guide restaurant. LIKE has organized live performances by international artists such as Nick Hakim, Connan Mockasin, Tex Click, and Ethan P. Flynn, as well as domestic artists like Juria Shortreed, Riki Hidaka, Sho Okamoto (OKAMOTO’S), and AAAMYYY.
