Rain means a blanket and a warm drink for us. For our ancestors, it could mean cold, floods, predators, and no food for days. So what did people actually do when it rained all week?
Archaeology points to a surprising answer: the worst weather days of the Stone Age may have been some of the most productive. In this video, we look at fire-keeping, stone tool workshops, ochre recipes, bone needles, the oldest string ever found, 77,000-year-old bedding, cave paintings deep in the dark, and the firelight stories that carried survival knowledge across generations.
