2000-2005 4.0 Ford Explorer/Sport Trac Alternator Troubleshooting

In this video i take you through wire by wire on the 3g alternator circuit,what each wire voltage should have with key off,key on and engine running, there's a surprising twist in the video, i don't want to give it away ,but there's actually two issues, one issue was my fault, i'm also using a picoscope to gather data faster, These ford 3 g alternators have a weird sense circuit on them, there kinda hard to diagnose if you don't know what the voltages should be, i made this video in hopes that it would help someone else with a charging issue, you can use this data on several 3g alternators, enjoy. #charginglight #howto #shorts
