Citation Jet LOSES CONTROL at 33,000 Feet — Plunges 11,000 Feet in a Terrifying Spin! A routine flight suddenly turned into a terrifying emergency at 33,000 feet. A Cessna Citation 560 was cruising near New York when the aircraft abruptly lost control and plunged roughly 11,000 feet in less than two minutes. At one point, the descent rate reportedly reached around 17,000 feet per minute as the jet entered a spin. The pilots believed they may have lost a flight control surface, but even after recovering the aircraft, they still weren't completely sure what had caused the violent departure from controlled flight. Despite everything that had just happened, the crew remained remarkably calm, carefully stabilized the Citation and began nursing the damaged—or possibly compromised—aircraft back toward Republic Airport. ATC offered JFK, but the crew ultimately chose to return to Republic, flying the airplane cautiously while emergency services prepared for their arrival. They landed safely, but one major question remained: What caused this Citation to suddenly fall out of the sky? On Flight Gone Wrong, we break down dramatic aviation incidents, emergency ATC communications, pilot decisions and the critical moments that can separate disaster from survival. ✈️ Subscribe to Flight Gone Wrong for more aviation emergencies, cockpit breakdowns and real-world flight incidents. #Aviation #Airplane #AviationNews #EmergencyLanding #CessnaCitation #PlaneEmergency #Pilot #ATC
