UTS FEIT Dynamics Lab rolling element bearing defect vibration analysis test rig

In this video I present the bespoke UTS FEIT bearing fault frequency test rig. I give a detailed explanation of the configuration of the rig including all of the various elements which includes a number of shafts, bearings, gear pairs, belt drives, eddy current brakes, couplings, tachos and encoders and accelerometers and so on. From the accelerometer signal and derived measurements of the shaft speed, we can use the known bearing fault frequency calculations for the type of bearing installed to measure signals to detect the nature of the (deliberately introduced) defect.
