Whale watching is a major part of tourism in the Azores. There are many businesses operating just on São Miguel offering to take you out on the ocean to view them. The one business we have returned to over the years is Moby Dick-Tours. A true family run business, Moby Dicks' captain Jose F. Costa has been operating in the waters of the Azores for around 30 years.
