The Prequel to Wukong - The Final Echo Across the Heavens

Wukong dies in battle protecting Bajie, his body turning to stone. Bajie burns his own essence to cast Wukong beyond time and space, but his own spirit fails to escape. Years later, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven fights his way back into the Heavenly Court, slaughtering the celestial army. He calls out “Brother!”—but there is no reply. To secure Bajie’s spirit a chance at reincarnation, he lays down the golden headband and is imprisoned beneath the Five Finger Mountain.
