LEAVING Philippines Longest Sandbar In TAWI-TAWI!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PROVINCE TAWI-TAWI IS. And on my last day, I finally visited Panampangan Island, believed to hold the Philippines longest sandbar - over 3km long! From (unsuccessfully) trying to catch shrimp at night, to getting back on the speedboat in Banaran Island of Sapa-Sapa and visiting maybe Tawi-Tawi's most famous tourist attraction! Back in Bongao via some bumpy waves, I finally found the cafe that I was looking for on the first day! DM Cafe is on the Chinese Pier and is run by a lovely lady named Dayang who was on my flight coming to Tawi-Tawi. After 25 years as an OFW in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, she came home... My first of three flights took me to Zamboanga, where I made the most of the four hour stopover to go to the Santa Cruz Flea Market and eat one last tiyula itum at Hamja's - but then the ladies (who are Yakan, with their heritage from Tipo-Tipo, Basilan, but who grew up in Zamboanga City) kept giving me more food! And that ginamus - unique and incredibly delicious! One last pasalubong stop at the barter in Canelar, and then back to the airport to fly from Mindanao to Mindanao via Luzon (very daot).
