But before I begin, I would like to point out, that a candidate is not required to state a 6/8 time signature at ABRSM until Grade 7 and Grade 4 at Trinity College. However even at the early grades in ABRSM a piece might be in 6/8 time but the question will only be how many beats are in a bar which in the case of 6/8 will be 2 beats in a bar.
