Podare - Live at Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival (Complete Set)

Podare | 24th October, 2026 Following the release of Podare’s debut single in late 2025, the distinguished songwriter is back with a full band and arrangements marking the beginning of a new chapter. With the bones and heart of Podare standing as the skeleton for his new songs, his arrangements are brought to life in a powerful live setting. Finally, the Fronted by singer songwriter, Daniel Friel and joined by Bobby Dazzlington (fiddle), Tom Brunekreef (Bass), Joe O’Keefe (Banjo) and Brendan Huxley (guitar), Podare’s songs are transformed from the delicate and subtle loved sound to something more substantial. The groove feels as though the group have been playing together for years. But still living through is the heart of Podare’s message: a folk myth story unfolding in real time. “We do not come into this world blank. There is no tabula rasa. The material world is not real and we are not here to collect stuff. We are here for so much more than that. The foundation myths we tell shape the direction of growth of ourselves and therefore our society. If we change our story about the place we hold in the world, we will change our world in the way we need it to. It is not about the truth. The truth is simple and unknowable. What matters now is survival, and I believe we need to change our story in order to leave this mess behind. In order to go forward, we have to go backwards.” Podare www.podare.com www.patreon.com/podareofficial https://linktr.ee/podareofficial Socials ‪@podareofficial‬ SET LIST “The Long Way ‘Round” “My Smoking Gun” “High Tide” “Golden Lass” “Garfield Brooks” “Hello Again My Love” “Soldier’s Song” “Shining Star” “Only One Way To Go” “Midnight Hill” MUSICIANS Daniel Friel: vocals, guitar, bouzouki Sir Robert Dazzlington: fiddle Tom Brunekreef: bass Joe O’Keefe: banjo Brendan Huxley: guitar Sound engineer: Bruce Filmographer: Jacko
