Perazim Creative Compass | Season 2, Episode 7

Welcome to Perazim Creative Compass, hosted by Sophia Karydis (@sophiakarydis). Each episode begins with one central question and opens into a wider conversation about creativity, self-expression, and what it really takes to build a career in today’s creative industries. In this episode, we sit down with Sandra (@officialslay_b), an independent singer-songwriter carving her own path in music. She takes us back to the moment she first fell in love with music and shares how that early spark shaped her journey. Sandra opens up about how she would describe her sound, the challenges of building a career without major label backing, and what it really means to stay motivated as an independent artist. We also explore her creative process, from where her songs begin to how she captures emotion through lyrics and melody. Along the way, Sandra offers honest advice for aspiring musicians and reflects on the lessons she’s learned while finding her voice in a competitive industry.
