Kingdom Hearts Coded: THE MOVIE (Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded)

Kingdom Hearts Coded was a Japan-only mobile game released in episodes between 2009 and 2010. The game was then fully remade for the Nintendo DS and released later in 2010 as Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded. A handful of its cutscenes were then remade in HD for the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX collection on the PlayStation 3. I used the PS4 re-release of this in the HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX collection for this video, plus some small bits from the original Re:Coded DS game (mostly gameplay, but also a couple scenes that have been dubbed by the KHMT's team of soundalike voice actors). For most of the rest of this project, I have tried to include every cutscene from every game, even those that are unimportant or even optional. I'm taking a different approach for this particular game however, instead cutting out as much of the fluff as I possibly can in order to help bring out the thematically relevant stuff. The reason I did this is because people sometimes want to immediately write this game off as mostly irrelevant to the series as a whole, which I don't think is entirely fair. I find it best to view this game as a weird little microcosm of everything that came before it, with a heavy dose of not-so-subtle foreshadowing of what's to come, making it a good transition from the first major story arc of the Dark Seeker Saga to the second. I hope you find this game's story more digestible with this edit!
