I set a new Age of Empires II world record on Arabia, reaching Castle Age in just 10 minutes and 13 seconds! In a competitive Speedrun.com category where the top players are separated by just a couple of seconds, I'm delighted to have broken the record by a full 6 seconds. Skipping the mining camp, mill and blacksmith saves 350 wood, allowing us to focus all of our attention on food during dark age. We prioritise hunt over sheep wherever possible. Elephants and deer provide food at a faster rate, making them essential for an optimised Fast Castle speedrun. Finally, we make full use of our starting resources by building a market, selling stone and wood, and buying the final food needed to advance.
