After years of giving so much of yourself to family, what does it look like to make time for your own creativity—and discover who you are now? Welcome to the first episode of The Reclaimed Podcast with Jane Bellante and Royce Hunt Bell of Roycycled Treasures. We’re bringing the conversations we’ve loved having together into a space where you can join us. In this episode, we explore how creating helps us reconnect with ourselves. We talk about the guilt that can come with taking time for art and the freedom of using your supplies simply to experiment. Jane shares how a mentor helped her follow through on her master’s degree when she wanted to quit. That experience opens up a conversation about the confidence we build by taking action while we’re still afraid—and how that confidence becomes part of everyday life. We also explore gratitude and what becomes possible when we recognize the progress we’ve already made. Reclaiming means something personal to each of us.
