Can Jack68k and a PET scanner help us repair a Macintosh Display Card 8•24 GC?

A few weeks ago, we tried to repair a Macintosh Display Card 8•24 GC which is a rare highly-coveted video card for 68030 vintage Macs because it provides acceleration when drawing the screen. This one works as a display card, but is unaccelerated. The rocket pencil control panel has a line through it at boot up and benchmarks confirm lack of acceleration. Numerous chips got excessively warm including the AM29000 processor. We were also missing cache chips. Events have transpired that give me hope we can repair this: 1. I got an adapter that will let me check the 74F543 SOIC chips. 2. I got a PET scanner part that has an AM29000 (and some other parts that are useful for other projects) 3.
