He kept escaping from prison successfully and be caught back again and again

He wasn’t just a prisoner—he was a legend in chains. Cool Hand Luke tells the story of a man who stood tall in the face of a brutal system, smiling even as the world tried to break him. From daring escape attempts to a 50-egg challenge that became prison legend, Luke’s defiance made him a symbol of quiet rebellion. But behind the smile was a broken heart—and a final stand no one saw coming. In this video, we break down the powerful story, symbolism, and unforgettable performance by Paul Newman that made Cool Hand Luke one of the greatest anti-establishment films of all time.
