Manjeet Kaur's husband, Surender Singh, suffered from a serious illness before his death. Medical expenses and the loss of the family's main source of income left her struggling to provide food, clothing and education for her children. According to her account, there were times when the children had to survive on half a roti or go to sleep hungry. The family lived in a single damaged room with a leaking roof. During the rainy season, even preparing food and finding a safe place to sleep became difficult. Eventually, the roof collapsed, leaving the family in urgent need of secure housing. After the family's circumstances were brought to the attention of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, volunteers arranged essential assistance under the Annapurna Muhim. A new two-storey house was constructed on the site of the old home, with one room downstairs, another room upstairs, a kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet, electricity, water facilities and a paved courtyard. The family also received beds and bedding, an almirah, clothing, footwear, household furniture, kitchen utensils, cooking essentials, regular ration supplies and educational materials for both children, including school uniforms, bags and stationery. According to a volunteer featured in the report, the house was completed in approximately 20 days. Its keys were handed over to Manjeet Kaur by the village sarpanch in the presence of local representatives and volunteers. Overwhelmed by the transformation, Manjeet Kaur described her experience in an emotional statement: she had asked for a roof over her head, but had received what felt like a Taj Mahal.
