Theo is thirteen, and his IQ test just came back at a thousand. He finds lost keys without looking up, finishes the crossword upside down, and solves a Rubik's Cube with his eyes closed. Most people score around a hundred, and on paper even two hundred is rarer than one person in ten billion. But there's one rule. His brain got smarter. His mouth did not. He can know anything, but he can only say it at about two and a half words a second. Being a genius is mostly wonderful. Theo fixes the city's traffic lights, designs a new medicine, and cracks famous unsolved maths problems on a breakfast napkin. Then the real cost shows up.
