Are we really educating our children… or putting them under pressure?
In India, education has become a struggle for both parents and children.
Parents are struggling with high school fees, admission charges, tuition expenses and the constant pressure to provide the “best” education for their children.
At the same time, children are growing up with pressure to speak English, score good marks, compete with others and succeed from a very young age.
Today, we even see parents trying to speak English with their 6-month-old or 1-year-old babies, hoping that their child will become fluent and successful in the future.
But somewhere, we need to ask:
👉 Why are we putting so much pressure on children from such a young age?
👉 Has education become more about marks and English than actual learning?
👉 Why are parents forced to spend so much on education?
👉 And most importantly — are our children actually enjoying their childhood?
This video is my attempt to talk about these issues and question the way we look at education, success, English, competition and parenting in India.
What do you think? Is our education system preparing children for life, or simply preparing them to compete?
