Do you know... in Sanskrit, there is a sage whose name means Parrot? His name is Shuka. Shuka means Parrot. He is the son of Maharishi Ved Vyasa himself. This is the story of Shukadeva — the 16-year-old sage who spoke 18,000 verses of Srimad Bhagavata Purana for 7 days and 7 nights, without eating, without sleeping, under a 5,000-year-old banyan tree called Akshay Vat. You can still visit Shukratal today — Muzaffarnagar, on the banks of Mother Ganga. The Akshay Vat tree still exists. QUESTION FOR YOU (Answer in Part 2): In which state is Shukratal located? I will heart your answers.
