What happens when you combine two of Uganda’s most exciting safari destinations into one trip? I took my Travel Buddies from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, where we started the adventure with a walking safari, before continuing west to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese. Our Queen Elizabeth experience was packed: a welcome dinner, game drive and lion encounters, adrenaline activities including ziplining, tricycling and a rope course in Kasese, followed by a white-themed boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. We stayed at Acacia Wilderness Mweya, right in the Queen Elizabeth area, before ending the experience with a beautiful floating breakfast. Lake Mburo is about 253 km from Kampala and covers approximately 260 km², while Queen Elizabeth covers about 1,978 km² in western Uganda. This was more than just a game drive — it was wildlife, adventure, luxury, food, friendship and the full Uganda experience.
