Beauty in Biodiversity: Conservation and Cultivation of Native Plants in the Columbia River Gorge

Presenters: Kristin Currin and Andrew Merritt, co-founders of Humble Roots Nursery and coauthors of the Pacific Northwest Native Plant Primer. Kristin and Drew share stories and insights from over twenty years of working with native plants in the Columbia River Gorge. Just a few of the subjects they will cover in this fascinating program include: encouraging gardeners to plant native plants to support biodiversity, helping revive the historic Wind River Nursery as a native plant nursery, creating a pollinator corridor, saving rare plants, and partnering with land trusts on many restoration projects.
