Radhanagar Beach — one of the most famous beaches in the Andaman Islands. But is it really worth the hype? 🌊
Here’s a little sneak peek of my visit to Radhanagar Beach, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) — from the white sand and turquoise water to the peaceful shoreline and the famous sunset.
Radhanagar Beach was named the Best Beach in Asia by TIME magazine in 2004, which is one of the reasons it became such a popular stop on an Andaman trip.
📍 Radhanagar Beach / Beach No. 7
Located on the western coast of Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep), Radhanagar Beach is around 12 km from Havelock Jetty, usually about a 20–30 minute drive depending on the transport and road conditions. You can reach it by cab, auto, scooter or local transport.
🚢 How to reach Radhanagar Beach
First, take a ferry from Port Blair to Havelock/Swaraj Dweep. From the Havelock Jetty, Radhanagar Beach is another short road journey of around 12 km. Government ferries and private ferry services connect Port Blair and Swaraj Dweep.
🌊 What makes Radhanagar famous?

In this video, I’m sharing a little glimpse of Radhanagar Beach and what it actually feels like to be there.
But the real question is… is Radhanagar Beach actually worth the hype? 👀
Watch till the end and decide for yourself.
