Eravikulam National Park lies just 9 km from Munnar, nestled in the Western Ghats of Kerala. A paradise for nature lovers, the park is celebrated for its rolling hills, high-altitude grasslands, and dense shola forests. This unique landscape shelters a remarkable variety of plants and wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, the park’s most iconic resident. Nilgiri Tahr: Eravikulam is home to the world’s largest population of these mountain goats, best spotted in the Rajamalai region. With their stocky build and curved horns, they are perfectly adapted to the steep grassland slopes of the Ghats. Anamudi Peak: Rising to 2,695 meters, this is the tallest peak in South India and a striking highlight of the park. Neelakurinji: A legendary flower that blossoms once every 12 years, turning the hills into a breathtaking carpet of blue and purple. Shola–Grassland Ecosystem: A rare and fragile ecosystem unique to the higher ranges of the Western Ghats, rich in endemic plants and animals. #eravikulamnationalpark #munnar #keralaforest #rohaktrekntravel #idukki #nilgiritahr #wildlife #travel #nature #neelakurinji #nationalpark #cinematic #godsowncountry #cinematic #kerala #southindian #dji #djimini4pro #nikon #iphone
