S01 E01 Book Signing Count Arthur Strong prepares for his £7.99 diary launch. After arguing with a chemist and dodging a TV licensing officer, he struggles through a chaotic newspaper interview. To save money, he hosts his book signing at a butcher shop. The event dissolves into comedy as customers ask about sausages and mince instead of his diaries. After reading bizarre entries and selling just one book, Arthur storms out in a huff. S01 E02 Cookery Show Count Arthur Strong rants at a post office and bickers with a charity collector before hosting his cable cookery show. When guest Stuart Unwin brings pre-cooked chicken and chips, ruining the cooking premise, they order Chinese takeaway instead. Arthur then conducts a chaotic blind wine tasting, refusing to spit any out and getting drunk. Afterward, he reveals he is moving on to host a new valuation show called Lolly in the Loft. S01 E03 Radio Play Count Arthur Strong joins a BBC radio play rehearsal, instantly causing chaos. He badgers the new producer, John Herbert, and refuses to call the director by her actual name. After a drunken pub lunch with a young co-star, Arthur mistakenly insists he is playing the 19-year-old lead role instead of the milkman. The rehearsal devolves into a physical struggle, resulting in the producer breaking his leg, forcing Arthur to flee with his inebriated protegé. S01 E04 James Bond Count Arthur Strong struggles with a VCR manual to operate a secondhand toaster before evading a bus fare by pretending to be an inspector. He arrives late at a Women's Institute talk to speak about his showbiz life. He shares a delusional story about auditioning for James Bond in 1962 alongside Sean Connery, claiming he turned down the 007 role for a part in Bootsie and Snudge. The event ends in chaos over a misunderstanding about orange juice. S01 E05 The Audition Count Arthur Strong wakes from a bizarre dream and haggles a door-to-door salesman into giving him a free scouring pad. He arrives late at Obsidian Productions for an audition, where he confuses the gritty script's plot, boasts about a minor role in Juliet Bravo, and recites a chaotic Shakespearean speech. He then visits a butcher shop to buy liver, proudly recounting his confusing audition. S01 E06 Piccalilli Count Arthur Strong brews a batch of homemade, spicy piccalilli with a secret ingredient. He forces his acting student, Malcolm, to blind-taste it, giving him a severe case of diarrhea right before his big audition for the musical Cats. Undeterred, Arthur tries to hawk his jars at a cafe and a butcher shop. When Malcolm is too sick to perform, Arthur goes to the theater and hilariously auditions in his place, singing a wonderfully mangled rendition of "Memory."
