From Partnership to Impact

How can researchers give their work the best chance of making a real difference? Drawing on learning from the five-year NIHR National Priority Programme for Adult Social Care and Social Work, Dr Madalina Toma explores the importance of building trusted partnerships, involving people with lived experience throughout the research process, planning for impact from the outset and creating networks that last. The programme was led by ARC KSS on behalf of a national consortium of eight other Applied Research Collaborations and brought together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and people with lived experience.
