Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has expressed concern about the growing indiscipline in Senior High Schools, arguing that the problem is a reflection of wider society. Speaking on The Point of View with Bernard Avle, he also explained the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s decision to officially join the lawsuit filed against Wesley Girls’ High School. The church says its involvement in the case is necessary to protect the long-standing values, principles and boundaries that guide mission schools in Ghana. Rt. Rev. Dr. Opare Kwakye stressed the importance of mutual tolerance, arguing that if others expect their beliefs and practices to be respected, they must also be willing to extend the same tolerance to others. He further discussed the broader challenges facing discipline in Ghanaian schools and the responsibility of society in addressing the issue.
