Teach Faith Over Fear to Preschooler with Lesson Plan, Learning Games, and Family Prayer

What do you say when your child is scared? Skip "there's nothing to be scared of." This preschool Bible lesson teaches kids that being scared isn't the problem; knowing where to take it is. You'll get a faith activity, a family prayer for scared kids, and the story of Jesus in Gethsemane for little ones. Your child comes to you scared of the dark, a dog down the street, or a sound you can't even hear. In this episode of God Homeschool, I walk you through three short preschool activities, about ten to fifteen minutes each, for kids ages 3 to 6. I share what happened when my son refused a toddler roller coaster. Then we look at Mark 14, where Jesus was deeply distressed in the garden of Gethsemane and took His fear straight to God in prayer. We also cover Luke 22:43 and Hebrews 4:15, and why feeling scared isn't a sin or a lack of faith. You'll learn Fear and Faith Hands, the Brave Box learning game, the "My Faith Is" song with hand motions, and the BAM prayer framework (Be Honest, Ask, Magnify) so your child can write their very first prayer about fear in their own words. It's an easy Christian homeschool lesson for preschool and kindergarten, and it uses items many families already have at home. 📥 GET THE FREE FAITH OVER FEAR LESSON PLAN The whole month on one printable: the song lyrics and motions, the prayer framework, and every line you say to your child.
