NEW ONLINE STORE: https://adventure-ace-2.creator-sprin... So I met eye to eye with a MOOSE while hiking in the National Park Åsnen in Sweden. I did not expect it and whas pretty chocked. I was changing scenes filming, and had put away the camera to walk to another part when I heard crackling sounds in the woods to the right of me. It sounded like a large animal and all kinds of thoughts went through my head..bears, wild boars, dears...even wolfs since we have had wolf sightings here far south in Sweden even close to Malmö...but not ever did I expect a moose. Where I live I might see a dear but that's rare. I've never been close to a moose in my life. A solohike no people around so it was a adrenaline experience lol.This National Park is still in the south of Sweden in Småland, not the far northern Sweden with deep wilderness, although it was pretty wilderness feel. Then the moose stood 10 meters from me straight ahead and stared at me for a long while. My heart was pounding and I started to fumble with my camera to try to get him on film. But then it seemed like he was heading towards me, maybe charging, so I got scared and try to hide behind those thin trees lol... The moose then ran away fast to the left. I then got my camera out and filmed but when editing it was a blur. First encounter with a big animal and I regretted I didn't have my camera ready at all times. It was highly unexpected. But lesson learned till next time. I have a few long distance hikes planned this year and next in Sweden more north over with this kind of animal life, both bears and moose as well as wolfs. One thing is sure, I will never forget this. It was an amazing experience and I from now on LOVE mooses. The elegance they show, sprinting like there's no branches or trees in the way. The King of the Woods, that is clear. A majestic animal. My favorite as of now. This National Park was opened in 2018 and stretches on a large area, has two main entrances and has great variation in nature. Old wild forest, swamps, lakes and Initially I planned to visit both entrances, to the Swamp etc but it took far longer than I thought to just find the entrance called Trollberget, to film etc so I will have to get back again another time. I did not have time to film the swamp area this time. How to get here from Malmö: I went by car, from Malmö it was about 3 hours drive partly on small winding roads. I went via Kristianstad on E22 then entered next county Bleking to Bromölla, from there road 15 in to the 3rd county Kronobergs Län (also called Småland) to Almundsryd and some small villages. I chose to park in TROLLBERGET which is one of two main entrances to the National Park. If you like this video don't forget to like and subscribe. Enjoy!
