ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ 542–544 ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਗ ਬਿਹਾਗੜਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਛੰਤ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ। ਦੂਜੇ ਛੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟਰਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ, ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ, ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ, ਆਪਣੇ ਔਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ; ਹਰ ਬੰਦ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੀਜੇ ਛੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਤੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ ਧੂੜ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ, ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਵਣਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ, ਅਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਛਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ। Gurbani Katha in Punjabi on Ang 542–544 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, covering the second and third Chhants of the Fifth Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj, in Raag Bihagra. The second Chhant uses the image of a chief queen describing her husband's virtues. The soul-bride praises the Husband-Lord, longs to meet Him and suffers the pain of separation. She then recognises her own faults and finally knows the joy of union through the grace of the saints. Every stanza ends in a humble prayer to the saints. The third Chhant asks for the grace to recite Naam (remembrance of the Divine Name) day and night and for God's Will (bhana, His Hukam or command) to feel sweet. It then praises the Sadh Sangat (holy congregation) and the dust of the devotees' feet.
