Wondering whether Dondy is a good WhatsApp app for your Shopify store? I installed it on my own store, and this video tells you what it does, what it really costs once messages are counted, and which stores it's worth it for. On the Shopify App Store, it's rated 4.9 on 826 reviews (checked October 16, 2026). If you install it through the link above before November 27, you get $20 on your Dondy balance to pay for your messages. If you sell in the US: Meta's WhatsApp documentation says WhatsApp doesn't currently deliver marketing messages to US phone numbers, and it counts abandoned cart reminders as marketing. So for customers with a US number, Dondy's reminders and campaigns won't go out; order and shipping updates still will, and so will your replies when a customer messages you first (Meta documentation checked October 16, 2026). Pro costs $6.99 a month but stays manual; automatic reminders and campaigns start with Power Automation, at $79.99 a month, and Elite, at $159.99, adds the AI agent, with a 7-day trial on every paid plan. Prices checked October 16, 2026 on the App Store listing, in USD per month, billed by Shopify. WhatsApp messages are paid on top, from a balance you top up: Power Automation includes 1,000 "one-click" messages every 30 days, without the listing saying which ones, and beyond that the rate table Dondy publishes shows $0.1016 per message to the UK, so about $100 per thousand. Subscriptions are billed in advance with no refunds: check that you're on monthly billing before you approve. In the video I show Dondy on my store during the Power Automation trial: the abandoned cart reminder editor, with the send delay, the customer's first name, their items and a discount code applied automatically, the spaced reminders that stop as soon as the customer buys, then the campaign editor and its button that writes the message with AI. My test stops before anything is sent: everything Power Automation unlocks waits for a WhatsApp Business number and access to Facebook Business Manager, which my test store doesn't have.
