A46 - East Bridgford to Newark

The A46 runs for 223 miles / 359km in a general north-east/south-west direction from the city of Bath in Somerset, to Grimsby in Lincolnshire, passing through the Cotswolds to the outskirts of Gloucester, then heading inland to the city of Coventry and the M6. There's a gap between the M6 at Coventry and M1 at Leicester, where the M69 motorway takes over. The A46 then resumes from Leicester to Lincoln largely as a fast dual carriageway, then onwards as single carriageway to the North Sea at Grimsby. This video shows a northeast-bound journey along the A46, from the junction for the A6097 near East Bridgford, to the roundabout for the A616 & A617 at Newark-on-Trent. Filming date: May 2024
